So I’m sitting in my new flat in London, looking around the room and finding it extremely tired and maybe a bit too serious. I’ve always been designing with a twist and a dash of quirkiness and wit. While I’m sitting here in my office at midnight listening to Jason Mraz’ “lucky” and it dawned on me this is all too uptight. Surely not a good image to be representing Tshuka. I need to do something pronto. SO I went through my box of inspirations… Mostly inspired rooms that I love over the years… and no help there…. Do you know as a designer you find your taste changes constantly… what might seemed like a cool idea 3 months ago can now seem so revolting. With the holiday season approaching, I find that I see my interior with the most critical eye. What room to do first? My studio…. Let’s start there….

Breaking the news to my husband about changing everything in the house is definitely not going to work by casually mentioning it over breakfast. Daria, my business partner, is super organized, meanwhile I’m more of a scatter brain… I need stuff around me to get inspired, some may call me a hoarder and that’s another thing, the key ingredient to getting a fresh new look to your space, you must shed your inner hoarded-ness and LET-Go. Try it… it’s refreshing. Just by doing that, you can transform your room from drab to fab in no time.

Love this studio…. Casual with personality just the thing I needed. Daria and I can sit far far away from each other. We’ll have our own little universe to take over the design world one day at a time…. For those of you who prefer to be more organized like Daria, here’s a little dose of her universe… 

So whatever your style or personality, don’t forget to be true to yourself… right… how do I convince Daria we need to do it my way?
