The second condo project moving forward in Yorkville is The Conservatory Groups Milan Condo! Located across from MTV’s Masonic Temple at Yonge and Church the project is calling for 37 floors. But before the views can be had, demolition of the existing parking lot must first take place!
Here are a few pictures of the work from earlier in the month, click on the thumnail for a larger image:
Chaz on Charles will be the newest condo to launch in the Yorkville neighbourhood! On Tuesday, the BloorCondos team attended the “brokers only” event for this new project. Having hardly heard of the condos developer, Jason Fane, we weren’t exactly sure what to expect. Thankfully there’s good news and there’s better news…
The good news – learning how Mr. Fane has over 40 years of international real estate experience with dozens of apartment and commercial buildings in Toronto and New York State. The better news – hearing about the fresh concepts him and David McComb of Edenshaw Homes have for the condo!
The big emphasis with Chaz Condos is creating a social neighbourhood. A lot of the amenities are there to help connect residents of the building. Take for example the “Chaz Club” (pictured above) located on the 36th and 37th floor! The club will be 2 storeys high with a Grand Room, Lounge and Bar offering panoramic views to the south of the City. For those with a more competitive side, there will be a state of the art computer gaming arena for residents to battle for gaming glory rights! A first in Toronto will be it’s 3-D screening room featuring the very latest in 3-D viewing technology.
Chaz will be joining the likes of CASA, X and X2 condos on Charles St. The location is just far enough on the outer boundary of Yorkville to not be paying the “high-end” price often seen in Yorkville yet still put you in walking distance of all that the luxurious community has to offer! It’s also steps from the Bloor/Yorkville subway station!
Contact us to buy into this exciting project during the VIP sales period. All worksheet must be received by August 9th 2010 and on a first come first serve basis!

In our second look at Pears on the Avenue, we’re shifting our attention to the many luxurious amenities the condos will have!
Residents can choose between: the Multi-purpose party room with catering kitchen and wet bar, indoor pool with whirlpool and private cabanas, a gym with separate cardio and weight areas, a yoga studio, men’s and woman’s change rooms with showers and saunas, a Hollywood style screening room, a private board room, a hotel-styled guest suite and a landscaped terrace with open fire pit, seating and sundeck!
Many of the amenites will be spread over the ground floor and upper mezzanine. The party room will have a “club house” feel with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the landscaped terrace! An off white limestone will clad the walls of the pool room, with porcelain tiled floors below. Complementing the pool is a whirlpool set against a wall of backlit onyx. It’s the perfect retreat in the city on those cold winter days!
Send us an email if you’re interested in making Pears on the Avenue your home.

With Pears on the Avenue now launching to the public, we wanted to revisit the project and take a closer look at some of the details that the condo will offer! Designed by Page + Steele/IBI Group Architects, Pears will be an 18-storey building that will sit on top of a three-storey lobby. The bold design of the lobby will welcome residents and their guests with a double helix shaped staircase which gracefully connects the main level to the third. The look of the staircase is similar in curves to the now famous Frank Gehry stairs at the AGO.
Pears will be home to approximately 130 suites with interiors designed by Munge Leung. Their work can be seen all over the City in places like Ultra nightclub and future condo projects such as The Residents at the Ritz Carlton and One Bedford.
In the coming posts we’ll be looking at other key features at Pears; including suite details, amenities and finishes!

Last week we gave you a taste of Florida and this week we’re sharing something a little closer to home! Steps away from High Park, in the west end of Bloor is the future home of “The Address At High Park”. Once complete, it’ll be a chic boutique residence with 12 stories of luxury by Chesnut Hill Homes.
The building will consist of only 108 suites and features include: Party room complete with caterer’s kitchen, fitness room, theater room, and a private terrace. Every suite will include granite or corian kitchen counters, stainless steel kitchen appliances plus a full sized front loading washer and dryer!
