Baker Realty recently tweeted about the soon to be released “City Suites” at One Bloor! From what we’ve been able to gather, it looks like the floorplans will be available in a variety of sizes ranging from 1 bed to 2 bed plus dens with prices starting in the $500,ooo’s. Along with the new layouts, we’ll also get to see the new sales centre!

As construction nears completion at Uptown, the soon-to-be residences have another reason to get excited! Recently the developer, Pemberton, had a “roof-topping” celebration to thank the trades for the work done thus far. The 48-storey Art Deco-inspired tower can be seen above rising up from Bloor and Balmuto. The completion of the roof is another step closer to finishing the projects construction!
A selection of luxurious suites remains on the upper floors, all with panoramic views from large balconies and/or terraces. Sophisticated living is available in suite sizes from 1,270 to 2,110 sq. ft. The remaining units are priced from $947,900 to $2,142,900!

Back in January we covered the launch of the Nicholas Residences. Originally the tower was calling for 29 stories, but now they’ve released another 6 floors bringing it to a total of 35! If you missed your chance to purchase earlier in the year, now is a perfect time to choose between a limited selection of 1 and 2 bedroom suites. Only 54 units are being made available in this final release at Nicholas Residences.

The BIRKS Toronto flagship store on Bloor (55 Bloor Street West) will have the first 131 diamonds certified by the Government of Ontario on display and for sale! From April 26th until May 1, 2010, the Ontario Diamonds will be sold as loose diamonds, and clients will have the opportunity to mount them whichever way they desire. According to a press release by BIRKS & MAYORS INC.:
“Each Ontario certified diamond comes with a certificate from the Government of Ontario, Canada indicating the diamond number, which is also etched in the diamond itself. Each diamond will also come with a BIRKS Diamond Certificate and laser engraving on the girdle with a maple leaf – visible with 10x power magnification.”
