Last night my client and I met at Murano, his new condo at the corner of Grosvenor and Bay just south of Bloor! We picked up the keys for his unit that had closed earlier in the day. After inspecting the unit and checking out the fantastic city and lake views, we decided to walk up the street to Cafe Nervosa, a 2 storey building just west of Bay St. on Yorkville Ave. In the warmer weather, I love sitting outside on the sidewalk patio but because of darkness and temperature we sat inside and enjoyed a lovely meal. We stayed on the main floor where most of the activity was centered but could have gone upstairs to sit on the couches by the fireplace.
Think of authentic Italian cuisine, elegant in its décor with a versatile, extensive menu. If you love Italian there is something here you will love.
We started with insalate and a bottle of special red wine to celebrate the occasion. I continued with one of my favourites I have had before. Pizza covered in a bed of arugula, goat cheese and roasted peppers. My client selected chicken and potatoes.
Other guests in the restaurant could be seen having an array of salads featuring arugula, bocconcini, cesar, spinach, and seafood, as well as authentic antipasti, including bruschetta, grilled calamari, and beef carpaccio.
We finished our dining with cheesecake and espresso. If you are looking for an exciting night out while dining with your friends, Café Nervosa will offer you that and more. Read the rest of this entry »
