Just met the most wonderful lady… Mimmi Smart of Skogsbergs&Smart.  It just so happens that we were both at an exclusive Jewelry party to celebrate the launch of Shambala Jewels  (another very cool Danish designer) for selling his line to Harrods.  We get first picks to all the wonderful bracelets and jewels.  Where do I begin… I feel the need to let everyone know about these two very special individuals… they both deserve the attention separately.   

Skogsbergs&Smart www.skogsbergsmart.com – a Swedish lady whom I met through my daughter’s (Mia) school is the brains and creative mind behind this successful company.  They don’t make a lot of stuff but boy, they are so stunning they don’t need more… Less is more is what I always say.  I’m working on a huge project in Israel, a house that is being built from scratch with very sleek and clean lines.  A huge undertaking, but the end product will be worth it.  So… where is the link?  Well, Mimmi introduced me to her beautiful Hurricane Drop … You be the judge (pictured above).  

We’re thinking of putting a cluster of these (3, in different sizes) in the entrance of the house where the ceiling height is over 7 meters high.  Ok, they are not cheap.  A true piece of art. A 100% craftsmanship. The drops literally pours out of the metallic pole. It took her one year to get the shape right, not to mention finding the right craftsman to painstakingly paint the glass in this beautiful metallic finish.  The Hurricane Drops are made to order and is as retail object sold exclusively at Svenskt Tenn from end November 2009.   Can’t wait for the unveiling…
