It’s been a little over a month since we began blogging and in that time we’ve received a ton of emails and enquiries about condos in the area! The response to the blog has been amazing and we thank each and every one of our readers for its success. Our goal was to share our knowledge of the Bloor and Yonge area with anyone and everyone who’s interested in calling it home. A large portion of our content is based on the lifestyle of the area, which is the perfect segway to introduce our newest contributor!

International Interior Designer, Mother and all around Fashionista; Nora Voon of Tshuka Interior Design will be giving our readers a glimpse into some of the finest trends emerging worldwide. I saw first had what Nora is capable of, as she recently wrapped up work in Toronto overhauling an older east end beaches home. The home looked very tired and was at the end of its life…that was until Tshuka Interior Design stepped in and totally revamped the house from top to bottom (photos coming soon).

Located in London England, Nora is constantly travelling to different parts of the world working on a large array of projects. This gives her the unique advantage of a “world wide” eye on the trends and styles used right across the globe! Aside from being an interior designer, her firm is also working on creating exquisite accessories and furniture for your home (more to come in future blog posts). Her skill and design is perfect for the Bloor-Yorkville condo dweller looking separate their unit from the limited layouts found in many “cookie cutter” condos.

Nora Voon has a background in Fine Arts History and Environmental studies from the University of Toronto. She also obtained a postgraduate diploma leading to an MA in Architectural Interior Design at the Inchabald School of Design. Her background allows her to bring a contemporary sensitivity to her work. She draws her inspiration from everyday objects and her love of fashion and vintage pieces. Her style has an extra edge and a sense of the avant garde. She was also the winner of “Designer of the Year 2007” awarded by renowned Fox Linton Associates.
